MUJAHID ASARI DOKUBO'S LETTER TO OBASANJO, A look at History, interesting, for posterity. 02 January 2014 Olusegun Obasanjo Balogun of Owu, Obansajo Farms, Ota , Ogun State. RE: BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE (RE: OBASANJO’S LETTER TO PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN) Ordinarily, I would not want to dignify you with a reply to your ill-conceived letter, as that has a way of oiling your elbow or prop your self-importance - provoking your well-known self-will. I have also delayed my reply for one reason - to perfectly gauge public opinion on your latest onslaught against President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan – President of a country full of mind-boggling contradictions that you’ve always, falsely regarded as your personal creation. At least that’s the spirit behind your insolence, impudence and make-believe that point to the fact that you’re above national censure, ideological / ethical direction and control. Finally, I have had to reply you because of the nature of my past encounter

Nigeria will break up, Yoruba wants Oduduwa republic – Adebanjo Ameh Comrade Godwin Elder statesman and one of the leading voices in south western part of the country, Ayo Adebanjo, has predicted that Nigeria would disintegrate soon. According to him, Nigeria cannot survive any longer as a country as some persons were being oppressed. Speaking with Daily Sun, the highly respected elder statesman said the Yoruba people would want to have the Oduduwa Republic once the nation splits. He said, “We are going for disintegration. That is what I am sorry about. You cannot keep the country together like this. You would continually be suppressing there and suppressing there. The Southern Kaduna affair, the people there shouted against regionalism, because of the oppression there. “They said the Fulani were oppressing them. If you look at the recommendations of the 2014 National Confab, we said any area that has economic interests are free to stay together after a referendum of 71 per cent. That was how we brought in regionalism. We did all that to make sure we stay together. “If you look at the agitation of the South South, South East, they are not even insisting on restructuring; it is restructuring within Nigeria or outside of it. We even understand that some radical Yoruba have drawn the map of the Oduduwa Republic and all that, but we are keeping them down. “There is an advantage in the economy of scale but we cannot keep them down for too long when we know that they are being cheated. We say those areas that they feel they are being cheated; let us iron it out so that we can stay together. What is wrong with that?
